Struggling to warm up

Wednesday brought abundant cloud cover and scattered showers to the region with highs only topping out at 75 degrees! Where has summer gone!? Rain is continuing to fall across our area this evening. These showers will stay scattered as they push through Indianapolis this evening into tonight before slowly tapering off. As you wake up on Thursday, expect some morning clouds with skies becoming partly cloudy through the morning and into the afternoon. Models have really backed off of the heat this week and now highs are only expected to reach the low 80s on Thursday!

A ridge will build in on Friday with highs in the upper 80s and sunshine. A spotty shower or storm cannot be ruled out too. A better chance for rain, however, will arrive on Saturday as a cold front pushes through the region with scattered showers and storms expected. Spotty storms will be possible on Sunday before we dry out on Monday with highs back in the upper 80s.
