Strong Storms Likely Monday and Tuesday

On Sunday, Nashville broke a 125 year-old rainfall record as 1.9" fell yesterday. The old record was from 1885 of 1.49".

STORMS POSSIBLE THROUGH TUESDAY

The forecast for Monday is for rain and thunderstorms to continue. Some of these storms could be quite strong with powerful winds and very heavy rain. Frequent lightning is also a possibility. 

HYDROLOGIC REPORT

The Nashville office of the National Weather Service issued the following Hydrologic Report that details the possibilities of up to 3" of rainfall by Tuesday. There is not enough confidence, yet, to issue a Flash Flood Advisory. 

SLIGHT BREAK FROM HEAT

Enjoy the cooler break in the weather as the middle to the end of the work week will include hot, summer-like temperatures once again.
