In addition to the game’s release dates, Capcom has also revealed two new Challenge Modes to go along with the “Strider” Story Mode, Beacon Run and Survival Mode. Beacon Mode will offer a race-style game mode where players are challenged with hitting consecutive checkpoints while slicing through enemies in the shortest amount of time. In Survival Mode, the player’s combat skill is tested with a variety of item and ability load outs as they face waves of progressively difficult and diverse enemies. And just to add a little more competition to the game, global online leaderboards will track both challenge mode and story mode times and stats.

Something else gamers can look forward to is the ability to unlock new sets of costumes by uncovering the vestiges of Striders fallen in battle.

“Strider” will be available in North America for $14.99 via the PSN for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 beginning on February 18, 2014. The Xbox Live Arcade, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and PC (Steam) versions will follow the next day, February 19, 2014.
