Stress-Relieving Methods for Each Sun Sign

Stress has become an integral part of our lives in present-day society. We live on the run, constantly working or trying to get chores done, and we forget to take a break, to relax and to put order in our thoughts. Although it isn’t possible to avoid stress-inducing situations and events, we can learn to deal with them in the best way possible, so let’s take a look at several stress factors and how to address each of them, depending on your Sun sign.

Aries
An active sign, Aries people tend to be stressed almost all the time. If you’re an Aries, a great stress buster for you is any form of physical activity, preferably a competitive one. Gather your friends for a match of basketball, or try hiking or rollerblading if you are alone.

Taurus
People born under this sign can only de-stress in an environment that they deem safe comfortable. Lounge on the couch and watch your favorite movie, or curl on your plushy seat with a good book. Sitting in a comfy spot while listening to music may be quite efficient as well.

Gemini
Geminis are highly cognitive individuals and, therefore, they have to be stimulated even when they are stressed. If you’re a Gemini, you may make a scenery change in order to shift your focus. This will offer your brain something new to analyze and experience. Go for a one-day trip or try a new restaurant.

Cancer
Sensitive by nature, Cancer people feel at ease when they are alone, so it comes as no surprise that the best de-stressing method for them is to isolate themselves in a secluded pleasant space. Any activity which offers you some much needed “Me time” is great: baking, hiking, taking a walk on the beach, and so on.

Leo
Given that Leos are extremely sociable and talkative, they have to be surrounded by friends whenever they feel stressed. A night out in town for dinner is the most relaxing thing for this Sun sign. Other alternatives are dancing, going to the movies or to the Opera.

Virgo
Virgos’ practical nature determines their stress-relief method: cleaning the house. Organize books and CDs, declutter your closets, recycle scraps of paper, and donate what you don’t need any more. Although other signs may find this annoying and even stressful, Virgos love it.

Libra
Those born under the Libra sign often rely on a partner. This is why Libras prefer sharing their problems with a friend, a relative, or their spouse in order to let off some steam. Another appropriate method to de-stress for this sign is spending time outdoors, in a park or a garden.

Scorpio
Scorpios don’t seek the company of others when they are stressed out. They’d rather spend time in a quiet pleasant environment, meditating and clearing their mind. Yoga is an efficient stress-relieving activity, closely followed up by reading or watching a good movie.

Sagittarius
Sagittarians get rid of stress by spending time outdoors, while engaging in some sort of physical activity. A rigorous walk or workout at the gym, horseback riding, hiking, and running in the park are all great stress-relieving methods for those born under this sign.

Capricorn
Much like the practical Virgo, Capricorns deal well with stressful situations. However, you should spend some time doing something that makes you feel relaxed and refreshed. Try going on a trip to a hilly region or a mountain area. For those who also enjoy learning something, visiting a museum would be ideal.

Aquarius
Aquarians are spontaneous and creative, so an unplanned gathering with relatives or friends is their preferred way to de-stress. With a great love for everything that helps others, they are humanitarians at heart, so doing some form of volunteer work or offering a helping hand for a charitable activity is relaxing for them.

Pisces
Pisces de-stress by escaping their usual surroundings and social circle. Activities which involve water, such as swimming, taking a relaxing bath, or spending time in a Jacuzzi, are great stress-relieving methods. Pisces individuals are innovative and creative, so working on something artistic may also prove helpful in managing stress levels.
