Strengthen bones - Turn up the gravity

Physical exercises are all about strengthening muscles (hearts are also muscles) but have you ever heard anyone say "I'm going to the gym for a stout spinal disk and joint workout"?

That is because overworked adult skeletons wear down from hard work, only their muscles heal stronger after being overworked.

The growing bones of children can heal stronger after being overworked, so at least as far as adults are conserned, "exercising bones" is something close to an oxymoron.

Long ago, while watching news about a space flight, one of the engineers at bodybuildinginwater.com noticed a powerful fact about how to strengthen bones, "Just turn up the gravity".

After only a week in space astronauts loose 3 to 5% of their bone mass and strength, which directly hinders how deeply they can use their muscles.

Many astronauts that spend a month in weightlessness  cannot walk upon return, yet their bone mass and strength usually returns rapidly.

Decreased gravity always weakens bones so that is extremely powerful evidence that increased gravity will increase bone density and strength.

From a fitness engineering standpoint, the stronger your bones are, the deeper your muscles will naturally operate, and the harder you can play.

"This could also have real potential for treating bone weaknesses and maybe even treat problems like arthritis."

"If we increase gravity a little, then let it strengthen the bones of pro ahletes as they sleep, that might greatly increase their longevity by helping them naturally avoid injuries", well at least this is something these muscle bound nerds at bodybuildinginwater.com are pondering.

Anyone got a gently used gravity machine for sale?
