A recent short film produced shows a wealthy family street racing over inheritance funds. Who will be the winner? In one corner we have a Mercedes-Benz G Wagon, a Porsche, some crazy Cruella Deville vehicle, and an old Datsun. In the other corner, the new Nissan GT-R. Who will win? I'm not going to spoil it for you, but I can tell you that the outcome is "interesting". The film is setup in the beginning showing the characters the basic plot of the race. Challenged to a street race, the goal is fairly simple. Win the race, get the money. I guess the old man leaving behind his will was a true performance enthusiast looking to bring a few with him to the other side of life.
Street racing for inheritance? It seems rather morbid, dangling the money everyone was waiting for over a race. Whoever gets stuck with the G Wagon is pretty much screwed. Maybe they couldn't find another fast vehicle for the film, but I feel that the race is slightly unfair. The movie wraps things up with a nice twist, so get the lime ready. Overall, this is a very creative film and I think you will enjoy this step outside of this column's norm. Today we review fictional fun as opposed to the typical review of real world footage! I think the director, editor, and actors did a wonderful job with this movie. All the cuts are perfect, great job!
