Up front I’ll tell this article is more about cars than motorcycle although I did see one motorcycle in the show.Even motorcycle riders like to check out different events including car shows.
This is the inaugural show for this event which is officially is called the O’Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine and Muscle Car Nationals presented by Lucas Oil and there were plenty of vendors, cars and music to keep one occupied. On site you could check out products from Edelbrock, Mothers, MagnaFlow, Speedfreak, Comp Cams and that just at the entrance, inside the buildings were many more. If you need or wanted something for your vehicle you could probably find someone here to sell to you, and many of the nice cars and trucks were for sale.
The focus is appropriately on street machines and muscles cars and there was plenty of both and few vans, trucks and even a big truck or two.
Attendees were kept busy looking, because the cars were tucked into many nooks and crannies around the Fairplex grounds but then that is half the fun.
Organizational wise, this event ran very smoothly the lines at the 9:00 a.m. opening time did appear long but it moved fast once the gate were opened up and the event staff is friendly and guided people where they wanted to go.
There was a variety of food for sale mostly you just followed your nose if wanted something be it BBQ, burgers or even a cinnamon bun.
The band called Queen Nation has the crowd singing and clapping along.
Other things to see are an Autocross event, Burnout, you can watch or take part in a Din test, autograph signing and of course shopping.
