As reported by The Associated Press, on Feb. 8 onlookers at the New York Fashion Week Prabal Gurung runway got a lively surprise amongst the artistic designs dressing the models walking the runway. A streaker flashed his way down the runway in a Tarzan, king-of-the-jungle like appearance with not much more than a faux cheetah G-string covering his naughty-bits and a gold crown atop his head.
Tarzan inspired flasher ran among Nepal inspired Prabal Gurung fashion
Celebrities sat first row at the Prabal Gurung show watching as the man ran navigating around the models walking the runway dressed in Prabal Gurung's fall 2014 fashion collection. He dashed through opening his coat waving it like a cape in the wind while his red socks added a extra humorous touch to the surprise entrance. As security ran after the streaker the models kept it professional, seeming to not even notice as they continued their trek displaying Gurung's Nepal motivated collection with interesting designs inspired by the ancient Tibetan Kingdom of Lo.
It was revealed that the man was not new to these type of antics. As reported by WWD, a Gurung spokeswoman made it known that the streaker was Vitalii Sediuk. Sediuk had previously made his name known for pranking other events including surprise hugging Leonardo DiCaprio at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and making appearances at the Grammy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild awards.
The surprise added a moment of laughter surrounded by the stoic beauty of the models and fashion. Immediately the photos and tweets were sent out giving Prabal Gurung's show an extra bit of unexpected notoriety.
While beauty is in abundance during Fashion Week a bit of humor adds a beautiful break to the runway of activities. Life is full of surprises, happy and sad. When something unexpected happens that can put a smile on one's face they should embrace it and enjoy the moment of laughter. Never be afraid to dance!
