Strawberry short cream cake

Strawberry short cake is an all-time favorite of my family and many others. It is delicious any way you prepare it. However, this recipe with its creamy rich flavor makes this strawberry short cake even more decadent

2 pints of fresh strawberries sliced
1 loaf of pound cake cut into even pieces
3 cups heavy whipping cream
1 ⅔ cup of sugar
1 container of whip cream
1 teaspoon pure vanilla
I container of strawberry glaze

In a small sauce pan, combine the heavy cream, 1 cup of the sugar, and vanilla. Heat the mixture just until boiling. On a cutting board, chop the strawberries and place in a small bowl. Sprinkle the strawberries with ⅔ of the sugar. Sit to the side. Cut the pound cake into small squares. Layer the bottom of the champagne glass with the strawberry glaze, pound cake squares, cream, and strawberries consecutively until glass is almost full. Spray the top with whip cream. Pour the left over glaze on top of the strawberry short cake.

Serves 4 to 5 people.
