On January 21, 2012, a man in Australia captured more of the strange sounds that have been heard across the globe. These noises are often referred to as "UFO sounds" or "sounds of the Apocalypse." They sometimes accompany a UFO sighting, sometimes not.
According to Woweewooza, the strange sounds captured on video were heard on Saturday. This video of the sounds in Australia begins with a low groaning tone that quicking changes to repetitive mechanical or electrical sound. The witness can be heard narrating the scene in an oddly flat monotone: "What the [expletive deleted] is that? That was weird. Where is that coming from? It's coming from everywhere. Weird. Very weird." Weird indeed.
Although there have been plenty of theories for these strange sounds, and many of them can be explained by a musical instrument called a waterphone, other incidents are either unsolved mysteries or hoaxes. At least one entertainment news site even offered the hypothesis that the sounds are part of a massive viral marketing campaign for a movie like Cloverfield 2. We may never know the truth about most of these cases.
This isn't the only recorded case of UFO sounds reported from Australia. That would make sense if the sounds really are authentic since the phenomenon would have been heard by many witnesses across the country, not by just one isolated individual.
