Stranded cruise passengers get sick as raw sewage and stench are overpowering

The incapacitated cruise ship, the Triumph, is become a hot bed of sickness and filth as new reports come in to family members of the passengers aboard the broken down vessel. According to Radaronline Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, the carpets are urine soaked and food is scarce as passengers are falling ill from the conditions they are forced to live in today.

The stench is horrific reports more than one passenger calling home to loved ones. It is getting worse as passengers are forced to use plastic bags as a toilet. One woman told her husband that “raw sewage” is leaking into her room. The elderly are running out of medication and diapers and baby formula are almost gone, as the tug boats slowly tow the vacationers’ nightmare to Mobile, Alabama.

One woman who is stranded on the ship asked her husband who she called back home "Why can't they get us off?" This seems to be the question on many people's mind today.

One father talked to his son who got married on the ship and is spending his honeymoon in what sounds like a dilapidated floating nightmare. His son’s main concern is that the staff onboard the ship is handing out free alcohol to the passengers and he’s worried about adding too much drinking into this already volatile situation. Fights have already broken out over food.

It sounds like the days are gone where the passengers will fight about food, as the food has dwindled to the point that they are eating cold onion sandwiches. The ship is due into port on Thursday and it’s probably a safe bet to say the passengers will be happy to be on land once again.
