Like many people who get into craft beer, I went through a hop head phase. Stone's RuinTen was gold. Then, I found myself exploring the vast world of saisons. It's fairly common for people to fall in love with a certain style of beer. What I couldn't understand was some people's fascination with imperial stouts. That it, until I tried Prairie Ales' BOMB! at which point my eyes were opened to the complexity and deliciousness of stouts.
The great people at the Trappist have cellared rare stouts for over a year in an effort to release them all on one great night.
Selections include, "Evil Twin Even More Jesus, Drake's Blue Bottle Imperial Stout, Drake's Zinful Drakonic, Emelisse Crème Brulee Imperial Stout and BFM Cuvee Alex Le Rouge, to name a few." And yes, they will have Prairie Ales BOMB! - a wonderful rarity that lives up to its hype.
If you're not into stouts, this is a great chance to try some of the best the world has to offer and discover what makes these beers incredible.
See you there.
