If you haven't been to Arcadia Lake's Storybook Forest event in the past years, this year is the perfect time to go. You know how hard it is to find different things to take kids to that won't leave one or more of them crying because something scared them. With all the scary things all over right now you will find Storybook Forest to be a perfect family fun event as you walk through the forest meeting fairy tale characters with your kids. Children will love catching candy as Rapunzel tosses it down from her tower or enjoying trying to pull the sword out of the stone. Storybook Forest is great for young and old, boys or girls. Though this even is more focused towards the younger kids (10 and under) older kids will find things to enjoy about it too. Admission is $8 per child at the gate and $6 if you buy tickets in advance. Adults are free with purchase of child's ticket. This year the fun will start on October 23rd and run to October 30th. Every night starting at 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Go in costume or in every day clothes its up to you, just make sure to have the kids bring something to put the treats in.
Other fun usually found include story reading tent, hay rides, and games with small prizes. If you don't mind spending extra cash or if you plan on going out to eat when you go anyways keep their option of cooking hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire open, or even just enjoying the fires with some hot chocolate. Your kids will love it.
Storybook Forest is held east of Edmond at Arcadia Lake's Spring Creek Park. Go two and half miles east of I-35 on 15th Street.
