Numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms hit central Ohio on Wednesday. Due to the increased cloud cover and showers, most of the severe weather stayed away from Columbus. However an EF-0 tornado was confirmed in Highland county south of Columbus. Several other reports of severe weather occurred in southern Ohio as well. Close call but thankfully a miss for Columbus!

The cold front and area of low pressure responsible for the thunderstorms have both moved away from Columbus. Absolutely beautiful weather is in the forecast for the remainder of the week. The dew point is falling well below the 60 degree muggy threshold and it will stay down through Saturday.

Lows will fall into the 50s the next few mornings and highs will only be in the 70s on Thursday! Be sure to get outside for lunch or enjoy the evening as it will be picture perfect early summer weather.

The upcoming weekend will be a bit of split forecast. Saturday is looking nice with highs in the 80s and low humidity. However another area of low pressure will bring scattered thunderstorms and higher humidity to the region come Sunday. Have a great day!Storms move away
