Storm winding down and preliminary reports (Photos)

The storm that impacted West Michigan for the last day is pulling away from the area and at most another inch is possible today.

The Grand Rapids National Weather Service continues the Winter Storm Warning for counties north of I-94 until Noon on Friday. For these counties 6-12 inches of total snow is possible

For the counties along I-94 a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until Noon on Friday. In this region 3-5 inches is possible.

Here are a few very preliminary snowfall reports:

10.5” Mount Pleasant
9.7” Muskegon, new daily record for Thursday, old record 6.0” in 1931
9.6” Alma
9.0” Leota
9.0” Norton Shores
9.0” Tustin
7.0” Grand Rapids
6.0” Bloomingdale
4.0” Bellevue
3.9” near Lansing
3.5” St. Johns

Drier weather moves in for Saturday and temperatures may even climb into the upper 30s to near 40° for by Sunday and Monday.
