Storm roll over Calvary 67-7 in home opener

On Sunday afternoon, the Sioux Falls Storm took to the home field for the first time in the young Indoor Football League season, facing off against the Wyoming Calvary. One noticeable absence on the field for Sioux Falls was former quarterback Chris Dixon, who was busy preparing for his debut with the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.

Newcomer Dwight Dasher, making his first start for the Storm, stole the show with a solid all-around performance throwing for 164 yards and 4 touchdowns while adding an additional 138 yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground.

The returning core of veteran players showed the team what it meant to the fans to play in the Storm Shelter at the Sioux Falls arena. Being led by James Terry at wide receiver and the big offensive line which helped Sioux Falls to retain their championship a year ago, the Storm looked to find ways to improve after a tough 30-21 loss the previous week to the Nebraska Danger.

Sioux Falls will go on the road to face the Colorado Ice on March 24th before returning to the friendly confines of the Arena.
