Wondering what stores are open Easter 2014? According to the Epoch Times April 20, Easter Sunday shopping can be done at several stores listed in this article.

Large national chains of drug and grocery stores are open Sunday. People can get last-minute grocery and drug store shopping at Safeway, Trader Joe's, CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, Kroger, Whole Foods, Albertson's, and Rite Aid. Be sure to see what hours they're all open. Some stores operate on holiday hours for Easter. Costco is closed.

What's open Easter Sunday in the way of stores for a variety of things? Walmart is open as normal. Some Target stores are open depending on location. The ones that are open might be running on holiday hours, opening later or closing earlier. Most retail stores and malls are closed.

As Saving Advice noted in their report, other businesses, such as banks aren't open Easter Sunday. They're normally closed that day of the week as part of their business hours. Same is true for federal, state, city, and county offices. Libraries, courts, and the stock market are all always closed on Sundays as well. Several reports indicate a lot of gas stations are open Easter 2014.

Easter Sunday shopping is still possible for all of those last-minute goodies needed for the holiday. It seems like there's always that extra something that must be purchases for that special Easter dinner or more fun stuff for the kids' Easter baskets.

Independently-owned and local stores might be closed, so it's a good idea to call the business or look up their hours on the Internet. While most nationwide stores are open Easter 2014, others that fall under that category may not be.
