'Storage Wars' star dies: Mark Balelo dead at 40, suicide suspected

A “Storage Wars” star dies may not have been the headline fans of the hit reality TV series may have been expecting this week, but the Huffington Post reported this Tuesday, Feb. 12, that Mark Balelo of “Storage Wars” was found dead yesterday in a suspected suicide. The reality TV star was only 40 years old.

Mark Balelo got his nickname, “Rico Suave,” on “Storage Wars” for his colorful style, “man purse,” and skill at auction nights. He was arrested this weekend for possession of a controlled substance, and was reported to be “in a bad state of mind” after he was released from jail.

TMZ said the “Storage Wars” star died this Feb. 11 in his garage, leading many followers of the hit show and the public to wonder, "did Mark Balelo kill himself?" Though suicide is suspected, the local medical examiner has not given any information on a cause of Balelo's death. An autopsy is forthcoming, confirm sources.
