A&E reality series "Storage Wars" regular Mark Balelo was reported to have been found dead on Monday from an apparent suicide following a recent drug arrest. Fox News reported on Tuesday, Feb. 12 that Balelo was found dead just two days after being arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
Mark Balelo is suspected of committing suicide from carbon monoxide poisoning and was found dead in his running car in a garage. TMZ stated that sources close to the reality television personality stated that Balelo was distraught after his arrest . Balelo was arrested last Saturday for alleged possession of a controlled substance and was set to appear in court on Feb. 19.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
Balelo, 40, has appeared in several past episodes of the popular reality show "Storage Wars." He was best known for wearing flashy clothes and nicknamed “Rico Suave," and in aiding in the return of a rare Superman comic book valued at $1 million to its owner, actor Nicolas Cage.
The owner of Balelo, Inc., which purchased the contents of storage lockers and liquidated their assets. The comic book was found in a storage locker over a decade after it was stolen from Nicholas Cage.
"Storage Wars" airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on A&E.
