‘Storage Wars’ meets ‘The Kook, the Chief, his Son and the Brothers' on A&E

On the second episode of last nights "Storage “Storage Wars,” it begins with the theme, "Money Owns This Town." The regulars are in the town of Elsinore, Calif. Dave Hester is noticeably absent from the credits and no longer featured on the show. Barry Weiss, Darrell and Brandon Sheets and Brandi and Jarrod will continue to bicker on the way there, with Dan and Laura Dotson, the auctioneers.

Attending the auction today are Mark & Matt Harris, the "Kings of Swag," who are coming to this auction to hopefully cash in on what used to be a celebrity town. Barry's friend, Boston Joe is in attendance today with Barry to throw some spice in the auction.

The first auction of the day is a unit filled with old wooden crates and lots of furniture and tools. Barry tells Joe to thoroughly confuse the other "bidiots." Darrell wins it for $725. As he and Brandon check it out, they found a giant pipe wrench worth $75 and lots of good power tools. They also found a strange contraption they took to the planetarium. It turned out to be a teaching device from the 1700s worth $4000.

Next is a smaller unit piled high with junk. Mark got it for $45. The twins are dressed to the nines, not exactly the duds one would normally use to go through junk. They found furniture and lots of pretty much useless stuff. They found a Trader Vic's decanter from the 1940s, that could be their redemption of the $45 investment. They found what looked like an old moonshine kit with bottles included. It turned out that it was an olive oil press from the late 1800s worth about $700.

Next unit is a neatly piled bunch of boxes and cleaner than most units there. Everyone seems interested. The bidding went higher and Jarrod stayed in until Barry got it for $500. Barry and Joe check it out and find that they bought worthless junk. So Joe and Barry decide to get high; by going skydiving.

The final tally gave Darrell the top earner title with a profit of $4,025. The Harris Brothers made $855 and a $45 unit. Jarrod and Brandi went home with nothing, and Barry lost $480 on this episode of “Storage Wars.”
