‘Storage Wars’ features ‘The Big Boy vs. the Heavyweight' on A&E

On the first episode of tonight's “Storage Wars,” it begins with the theme, "Money Owns This Town." The regulars are in the town of La Habra, California. Dave Hester is noticeably absent from the credits and no longer featured on the show. Barry Weiss, Darrell and Brandon Sheets and Brandi and Jarrod will continue to bicker on the way there, with Dan and Laura Dotson, the auctioneers filling fans in on what is happening.

As they wait for the auction to start, Ivy Calvin shows up, he is known as the "King of Palmdale," and has a shop two hours from La Habra. Darrel tries to psyche him out, but he is an ex-ultimate fighter and Darrel better watch his mouth. The first locker is a bunch of household stuff. They must have moved out in a hurry because it is thrown in there without much preparation. Jarrod won it for $300.

The second one is another household unit, but there are lots of toys and as Darrel says it was a thrift store dream. Ivy won it for $450.

Next unit is a bunch of everything, and Ivy got this one for $225.

The third unit went for $60 and Ivy got that one too. His finds gave him a dandy profit for the items he found.

Jarrod and Brandi examine their finds and comes across a lot of watches, and one is worth $1,300.

The next unit had furniture, toys and was all very neat and clean. Ivy has his eye on the canvas bags. Barry got this one for $800. Barry found some kind of range finder that was worth $1,500.

The last of the day had lots of welding equipment, and Ivy knows that it is worth a bundle. Everyone has their eye on this one. As the bidding goes higher and higher, Darrel and Ivy duke it out, and Darrel got it for $2,600.

Everyone scored on this episode. Darrel made $7,360 with the best locker of the day. Ivy Calvin cleared $2,225. Jarrod made $1,370 because of the nerdy watch, and Barry made $1,125. Stay tuned to see who will be the next winners and losers on the upcoming episodes of “Storage Wars.”
