Last night's episode found the "Storage Hunters" which took place in East Los Angeles, Calif. The auctioneer, as always is Sean Kelly, who knows all the regulars and has a fun time giving nicknames to the newbies.
This is Papa Bear’s hood where the auctions take place, so he is right in his own backyard. When the first locker is opened, it contained floor-to-ceiling bean bag chairs primarily obstructing the view of what lies behind. T-Money saw what seemed like arcade games behind the cracks in the scenery. As the bids went over $2,500, T-Money finally got it for $2,900. Behind the bean bags was a sit-down Pac-Man machine for two players, several arcade games. T-Money may just keep the Pac-Man for himself.
The second one looked like a girly apartment, but the back of the unit looked like a small vehicle. Papa Bear had his eye on this one and gets it for $3,500. He is taking no prisoners on this one. As they checked it out, they removed the tarp from the car and found a Jensen-Healey convertible sports car, but Papa could not fit behind the wheel. Sean got in, and it purred like a kitten.
The third one had about three items, with one larger item in the back with a cover that seemed to be electric. Jesse popped in to jump the bid to $3,000, just to show everyone who is boss, but he got stuck with it for $4,000. The plastic bins contained skydiving suits, helmets and an array of cameras to mount on the helmets. Under the tarp was an inflatable landing strip used in stunts for movies. It looks like Jesse broke even on this one.
The fourth one was outdoor furniture with garden items for a display. In the rear was a tarp covering something unknown. It became a shootout between Lori and Jesse, and she let him have it for $1,350. Under one tarp was a kiln and the other contained a potters’ wheel giving Jesse a nice profit on this episode of "Storage Hunters."
