Last night's episode found the "Storage Hunters" in Van Nuys, Calif. with Sean conducting the bidding and the usual crowd of regulars and onlookers.
The first locker filled with red canvas bags, furniture and some miscellaneous toys and items. The bidding quickly goes up and up and finally goes to Lori for $800, although Brandon is not sure. When checking it out, they find that it is CPR testing equipment with model of an adult, a baby and even a dog. Someone associated with rescuing had to have owned this locker, which will make them a clear profit.
The next one has some crazy stuff like equipment of questionable use with a propane tank attached . T-Money got it for $1,500. Sean brought in his friend Lance, who was a pyrotechnics expert. The item was a prototype of a ride on flamethrower for a show of some kind. He sold it for $4,000 on the spot to the expert.
As they open the third locker, it explodes onto the awaiting crowd. It turned out to be a fire extinguisher rigged to spray upon opening. There are boxes of unknown origin, and the Alvarado brothers get it for $1000. The first box contains bear repellent, there are stun guns in another box. They smell a loss coming from the prior own, who obviously did not like humans or animals.
The fourth one has a bunch of vintage items. Lori got it for $1,075, even though they vowed not to go over $1,000.
The fifth one looked like medical equipment and a bunch of other crazy stuff. The Alvarado brothers got it for $1,250, hoping to redeem themselves from the earlier buy. They found optical equipment with testing lenses, and all the makings to set up shop for an optician's office.
Jesse was there to add his two cents, but did not buy anything on this episode of "Storage Hunters."
