One of my all time favorite books about making money online is titled, "The Laptop Millionaire", found HERE. It has some great ideas on how to make money online, but the author made one point that really stuck with me. Matter of fact I think of this often and I try to share it with as many people as I can. He said, "Stop trading your time for money". After I heard this, it still took a little while for it to sink in, but when it clicked, it opened my eyes and I've never looked back.
When you work a traditional job, you are trading your time for an hourly rate. You are saying that you will put in your 40 hours a week for a fixed amount of money, and that rate never changes unless you get a raise or work overtime. Being an ebay entrepreneur is completely opposite of this. With ebay, you are selling "things", and since ebay is such a huge market place, the amount of "things" you can sell per hour is unlimited. When you are selling on ebay, you no longer are trading your time for money, but you are opening up your income to unlimited possibilities. This may seem easier said than done, and that is true. You still need to find inventory to sell and it does take hard work, but when you stick with it, the payoff is huge.
"The Laptop Millionaire" branches out way past ebay and goes into a deep dive of other money making opportunities that are out there on the web. Ebay, Fiverr, and ClickBank are just a few that are mentioned, and each chapter has real life examples of how others are making money online.
If you have never read this book, I recommend checking it out HERE. If you HAVE read this book before, what are you thoughts, and how did this book change the way you look at selling on eBay?
