The Breast Cancer Fund (BCF) announced on Thursday, September 5, 2013, its Clear Science web experience. The Clear Science web experience has user friendly, understandable, evidenced based content that clearly presents the evidence linking breast cancer and several environmental risk factors, with an emphasis on toxic chemicals and radiation. Their website is interactive and graphics based with vibrant colors, making a technical topic inviting and interesting.
BCF has been at the forefront of bringing awareness to and addressing the environmental risk factors associated with breast cancer since its inception. The first article below reports on recent research findings that link military members with the environmental risk factors they face on a daily basis through their work.
On Valentine’s Day this year, the BCF held a forum, Breast Cancer Prevention – New Evidence, New Agenda, at George Washington University presenting the findings of a national task force they were involved in which was spearheaded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The forum announcement/invitation is the 2nd article recommended below.
The phrase, ‘Stop breast cancer before it starts’ is one of the last things said in the video, Intro to breastcancer.org/clear-science as well as in their landing page headline. Prevention of breast cancer is their stance, focus and goal as stated in their tag line, ‘Prevention Starts Here.’
The information is very enlightening and empowering, well worth the time to visit, peruse and partake. Listen carefully to the topics mentioned in the video and then click over to the web experience for the details:
