Junior RHP Nick Tropeano has been named a pre-season third-team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, according to a press release on December 15.

Tropeano excelled for the Seawolves as a sophomore, posting an 8-4 record and a 2.44 ERA in 14 starts. He earned numerous postseason awards for his efforts, including a first-team All-America East spot as well as All-Championship team and American Baseball Coaches' Association All-Northeat Region First Team honors.

Over the summer, Tropeano played for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League. He finished the season with a 3-4 record and a 3.38 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 66.2 innings of work, according to an America East press release.

Tropeano also made two playoff appearances for the Kettleers, going 1-0 with a 1.54 ERA. He pitched 6.2 innings in relief and earned the win in the league championship game.

Last season, the Seawolves won the America East and went to the NCAA regional tournament, where they were ousted by the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
