Hard rock act Stone Sour, fronted by Corey Taylor of Slipknot fame, will be playing an "intimate show / record release party" at Webster Hall here in New York City on Monday, August 30th, and will be streaming the concert live on the internet as well.

Stone Sour, also consisting of Slipknot guitarist Jim Root, is releasing their third album since their 2002 major label debut.  Audio Secrecy follows the group's first two records, which were a mix of crushing pathos and heartfelt honesty, contrasting with Slipknot's over-the-top violence without ever sounding weakened.  The band has toured heavily in the past, playing larger venues such as Roseland Ballroom, and is one of the headliners on the upcoming Rockstar Uproar Festival.  Uproar will be held at the PNC Arts Center in NJ the day before, so New Yorkers have a chance to catch both the festival set as well as the Webster Hall performance.

Ticketing options have not yet been announced, but the the show is sure to sell out, as the small Webster Hall holds less than 1,500 people.  Fans who can't get tickets can instead watch it live on Stonesour.com and Roadrunnerecords.com

Fans who have seen Stone Sour before can attest to Taylor's gripping, in-your-face showmanship, and the band's crushing live performances.  From heartwrenching ballad Bother to the screaming, ranting Reborn, Stone Sour puts on a high energy show that is sure to be intensified in the confines of the small, often overheated Webster Hall.
