Colorado Springs police are looking for a person who rammed a marked police vehicle with a stolen car and then got away on Sunday night.

According to the police department, officers located the stolen vehicle shortly before 9:30 PM in the area of S. Murray Blvd and S. Chelton Rd. However, when officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle fled and officers did not chase it. Minutes later, CSPD Sgt. C. Sandoval discovered the stolen car on Fenton Rd. He pulled in behind it as it was parked in a residential driveway. That is when the driver of the stolen car put it in reverse and rammed the maked police car, with Sgt. Sandoval inside of it, and then drove away.

The vehicle was found abandoned a short time later, and a passenger was also discovered and detained. There were no injuries involved in the incident, but police are describing it as an assault.
