Stolen train crashes into house: Insane Stunt Bonus

Grand Theft Auto: Stockholm

Someone decided to play Grand Theft Auto with a real-life train in Stockholm, Sweden. It did not end well.

A cleaning woman stole a four-car commuter train from a Stockholm rail yard in the early hours of January 15, 2013. As the train reached the end of the tracks, it was going at roughly seven times the safe speed. The train jumped the tracks, crashing into a house.

The house was divided into three flats. Three occupied flats. Surprisingly, only the train thief was injured.

When the train reached the final stop on the line at around 3am, it careened off the tracks and into the first-floor kitchen of one of the house's three flats, causing severe damage.

The cleaning woman was flown to a nearby hospital via helicopter, and was arrested for "public devastation". Described as a recent hire in her twenties, the woman worked for a cleaning company contracted by Arriva, the train-service operator.

Aside from gunning for an Insane Stunt Bonus, it's unclear why the woman would want to steal a train.
