Opening day at Dell’Osso Family Farm was Sept. 29 in Lathrop, Calif. and the fun on the farm ran through October 31. The 15th annual season opened with a new Haunted Castle plus featured returning attractions like the aerial ropes course, zip lines, and the pumpkin blaster. FREE attractions included the hayride, the speedway, and the tire pyramid.

The San Joaquin County Fair offered FREE admission for all at the San Joaquin County Fair in Stockton. Food and refreshment vendors as well as rides and midway games are available for purchase. Special music entertainment this weekend includes Fan Halen - Tribute band to Van Halen

FREE CAREB Foreclosure prevention workshops

The California Association of Real Estate Brokers (CAREB) are hosting a series of workshops regarding foreclosure prevention and first-time home buyer assistance on Sept. 29 at Lincoln High School in Stockton. Attendees at risk for foreclosure can learn what options are available to assist them as they work through the process.

HAND of the Peninsula's 2012 service of remembrance
