A heartbreaking connection between Stockton and Newtown
A heartbreaking connection now exists between Stockton, Calif. and Newtown, Conn. It was twenty-four years ago in January 1989, when Stockton was also confronted with their own school shooting aftermath at Cleveland Elementary School which left five students dead. In addition to the student fatalities, one teacher and twenty-nine others were wounded.

Holiday travelers on a budget this season might find a fun day trip at History Park San Jose during the remaining winter months, including some of spring, while admission for everyone is FREE.
At the front gate of History Park, the electric trolly greets visitors as they arrive and the restored streetcar awaits riders who wish to view some of the thirty-two original and replica buildings that symbolize the history of San Jose and diverse populations.
