Stock market earnings preview for the week of Nov. 28 - Dec. 2

Stock market earnings Nov. 28 - Dec. 2

Greetings,

Although we have worked our way through the 3rd qtr. earnings season we do still have a small handful of companies due to release their earnings in the week ahead. As I have talked about many times before a few good ways to trade a stock on their earnings report is to wait until they release and then watch the initial reaction to the earnings. Many times the first move up or down will be the trend over the next 10 or 12 weeks, so when we see a stock gap up and trade higher after a report we should not chase it higher but instead allow the first resistance and pull back to happen. This can happen in a matter of hours or over the course of a few days, it is after that first pop higher and pull back that we want to enter the trade when we see the new support level kick in. The same can be said with a gap down where we would allow the first support to happen and then after a rebound attempt a good time to short that name would be after it hits the first resistance after its rally attempt.

We also touched on trading earnings by looking at "others in that industry group" , as many times stocks will rise or fall due to strong or weak earnings by a rival company in the same industry. We will stick with that here today as we look at a small handful of stocks that are due to report earning this week ahead Nov. 28 thru Dec. 2. As always if you have any questions or would like to talk about any of these stocks further , please email me at profit@equitytrader.me
