Stillwater Ales to open beer centric bar

Until now, Brian Strumke has been a self described "gypsy brewer," producing all of his beers at various breweries around Maryland and elsewhere. Now, Strumke's Stillwater Ales will have a home in the old Natty Boh Lounge on Brewer's Hill. Maryland law stills prohibits a bar to be built on site with a brewery, so all beer will still be produced in other locations, but Strumke will finally have what he calls a 'home base."

Strumke is coordinating with Ted Stelzenmuller, the chef/owner of Jack's Bistro, to create a beer centric menu at the new establishment. The bar will have approximately 23 taps and feature several Stillwater Ales, cask beer, and other brews as well. There will also be a " provisions shop" on the second level that will feature gourmet goods.

Renovations have already started, and Strumke hopes to have the bar up and running in the spring. It will be called Of Love and Regret.
