The playwright Jereme Raickett, CEO & Creative Director of “Mega Mind Productions” (formerly J.R. Productions) has produced another great presentation of “Still I Rise”. Mega Mind Productions presents “Still I Rise - 2013”, a live black history encounter that presents a breath-taking travel into a time where equality and freedom were a hopeless reality for people of color.
For the third installment of its annual celebration, Mega Mind Productions recreated the story of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old black Chicagoan whose killing helped galvanize the Civil Rights Movement in 1955. Through this exhibit of live sights, sounds & dramatic reenactments, you will take a journey into the movement of that perilous timeline. You will experience the horrifying truths that existed over half a century ago, as if you were there. This interactive experience highlights a timeline of the black culture leaving an impactful influence on the community that will not only entertain, but also educate young and old alike on positive influences, equality, unity, faith and most importantly freedom! This dramatic, thought-provoking, music-filled, foot-stomping production is sure to be the highlight of the year.
