STILL HERE an exhibit by the 3.9 Art Collective

3.9 Art Collective was founded by African American artist in San Francisco after it was recently discovered that according to the 2010 census the African American population in San Francisco has declined to 3.9%.Is being an African American that lives in San Francisco a revolutionary act?

STILL HERE is the collective’s inaugural exhibit that opens along with the new Fall seasons gallery and open studio exhibits. 3.9 Art Collective is taking a stand for arts and culture in a city that had always considered its diversity strong.

The collective includes works by Nancy Cato, Rodney Ewing, Sirron Norris, William Rhodes, and Ron Moultrie Saunders. Each artist hassomething to say in their own visual words. Narratives and perspectives of the artists are born from being members of both artistic and diaspora communities.
