Summer may be winding down, but there are still plenty of things to do around Centennial that will let you stretch it out a bit longer.

The last Dancing In The Streets of Southglenn concert is Wednesday, August 27th.

“New Sensation” plays all your favorites from the ‘80’s and is guaranteed to get you up on your feet. Blankets, chairs and picnic dinners are welcome or you can get take out from the nearby restaurants.

The concert will be held in Commons Park from 6:30pm until 8 p.m.

Music on the Patio at the South Suburban and Lone Tree Golf Courses continues on Friday until September 5th. Local musicians will provide the free music from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the patios. There will be food and drink specials available at each course. You don’t even have to play golf to take part, but you can just enjoy the scenery and sunset.

The school age children may be back in class, but the water park/splash pad at Centennial Center Park will remain open until Labor Day.

It’s open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily so there’s still time to take advantage of the hot August afternoons and cool off for free.

And what better way to finish The Dog Days of Summer than with the annual Puppy Paddle at the Holly Swimming Pool. Sponsored by South Suburban Parks and Recreation, this year’s event will take place on September 6th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. You can pre register online for $7 per dog ($2 for each additional pooch) or pay $8 at the gate. Only dogs will be allowed in the pool.
