Since my weather predictions were a little off for planting your gardens, I thought maybe I would stick with what I’m familiar with: farmers markets!

This Thursday is the opening day for the North Union Farmers Market at Cleveland State University. They have new hours this year too, so please take note that they are open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Local area restaurants will prepare fresh lunch and farms; make sure you stop by for a quick bite!

Ripe, sweet tasting strawberriesare available for purchase. I can taste those mouth-watering berries right now. Oh, and don’t forget to stop by your local groceryfor some angel food cake. What a delightful dessert for the family on Thursday evening!

Chef at the Market, Mary Willis of The Good Fork, will be on hand to cook something special made with local, fresh farm produce!

There will be plenty of local vendors, live music and yummy food, so don’t miss out on opening day this Thursday. See you there!
