“Love & Hip Hop” star Stevie J. is in hot water with his ex-girlfriend and Carol Bennett over allegations he is extremely behind in child support. According to Radar Online on Nov. 1, the cash slinging star of the VH1 reality show owes a whopping $1,158,391 in back support for his two children with Bennett.
Bennett’s rep told the website Stevie J. left a message to his baby mama begging her not to go public with their financial issues prior to her press conference on Thursday.
“What’s going on, uh I see all this press it’s going crazy and then I see something ’bout a press conference on October 31. I would ask you not to do a press conference…so let’s try to figure out what we doing, what’s goin’ on aight?”
But despite his plea Bennett continued with conference, held in New York City.
During the conference, Bennett said she had no intentions to send Stevie J. to jail. She added that she wanted to develop a healthy co-parenting relationship with the Grammy winning record producer as well as receive financial support for their children, claims the report.
Bennett, a former music executive, reportedly helped Stevie J. launch his career when he was a struggling artist working at Sean “Diddy” Combs' Bad Boy record label. But the recent circumstances caused her to reach out to Bounty Alert and the Custodial Support Foundation to help uncover and collect on Stevie J.’s assets, including those that my be sheltered by various companies.
