On the second episode of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” Stevie J admittedly had a lot of, as he would put it, “fixing to do” in his relationship with Mimi. And he did that the only way he knew how: by offering Mimi hush money.
Okay, it wasn’t exactly a moment out of “Goodfellas” or “The Sopranos,” but after being questioned by Mimi about whether he was cheating on her with Joseline (something Stevie denied while having the guiltiest smile stuck on his face), he tried to turn the tables on Mimi by offering her money to, essentially, look the other way.

“I want to cut you in. I want to give you like…a percentage. A couple percent,” said Stevie J.
“A couple percent? What is that?” Mimi asked skeptically.
“Yeah. Five percent of…you know…the [Joseline] project,” added Stevie J.
“No, f*** that,” said Mimi, who decided she wanted to play hardball if she was even going to entertain being his Carmela Soprano.
“If you’re giving me five percent, I want five from you and I want five from [Joseline]. Give me ten percent of everything. I know you’re f*****g this b***h, so I want ten percent,” added Mimi.
Labor unions take note—that’s how you negotiate.
In her confessional, Mimi explained her decision to go after Stevie’s money.
“I’m done playing games. I know what’s been going on. I’m ready to hit Stevie in the only place he’s going to feel it. His wallet.”
What do you think? Does this make Mimi a smart businesswoman, or is she acting silly for even staying in a relationship where she strongly believes her man is cheating?
