According to TMZ, it was reported on Feb. 22 that during his rock career, Steven Tyler snorted $5 Million in Coke. He called it Booger Sugar and said he snorted “half of Peru.” Tyler reported this to ‘Australia’s 60 Minutes’ this past week saying “it is what we did.”
Steven Tyler has been open about the past drug use for quite some time now since he told Matt Lauer back in 2011 that he “needed that cocaine, he just needed it.” However, he also mentioned that the cocaine use ruined his marriages and took his children away, “he was on his knees.”
Tyler did get clean from the coke in the mid 1980’s although he did relapse later on. He was later diagnosed with Hepatitis C which he said he had to have gotten from the drug use.
Although Tyler has been in and out of drug rehab, he does now consider himself clean and sober.
