Steven Tyler returns to American Idol on Thursday night. The entertainer used to be a judge for the popular show, but this season he traded in his judging seat to pursue his music. However, on Thursday morning Ryan Seacrest dished that Steven Tyler returns to the auditions, but this time as a contestant. Sharing the hysterical moment on the Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, Ryan Seacrest suggested the fans are going to laugh when they see Steven Tyler dressed in drag.
“We have seen some incredible talent and a matter of fact tonight in the Oklahoma City episode at the end is a surprise audition,” said Steven Tyler on the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “Steven Tyler comes and auditions in drag. The judges didn't know it was him. Then the judges quickly figure out it is him.”
The moment was briefly mentioned months ago in the Hollywood Reporter, but the show found the segment funny enough that American Idol fans will get to see the moment for themselves. Always one to joke for a good laugh, it isn’t surprising to hear Steven Tyler is sharing a moment during the audition process.
