Steve Nash rumors have the point guard of the LA Lakers returning to practice. The news about Nash doesn't end the LA Lakers rumors, as Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar also showed up at practice. According to a report from Friday (Jan. 31), the trio of guards have all been ruled out for the night game against the Charlotte Bobcats. There is a chance that they could begin returning with the Tuesday (Feb. 4) game against the Minnesota Timberwolves though.
Nash is coming back from a back injury and will be the first of the guards to play again this season. Blake will be back from his right elbow injury shortly after that and Farmar will return from his left hamstring injury a bit later. All three guards should be in the active rotation by mid-February, giving the team some much-needed depth as it tries to salvage the 2013-14 NBA season. By the end of February Kobe Bryant should also be active again, finally forcing coach Mike D'Antoni to choose between players to put in the rotation.
These Steve Nash rumors should draw the attention of fantasy basketball owners because there are a lot of statistics that he could draw. He likely will return to the starting lineup shortly after being activated and his minutes will probably climb as the second half of the season progresses. The allure in fantasy basketball leagues will be the assists, free-throw percentage, and three-pointers that he can likely provide. It's unclear just how many minutes he will get down the stretch, but he is a player worth watching that could give an impact in head-to-head leagues.
