Actor, writer, comedian and musician Steve Martin has finally become a father for the first time at the age of 67!
Martin and his wife, Anne Stringfield, 41, reportedly had their baby sometime in December 2012 and have been closely guarding that joyful news in secrecy…
But Martin could not hold the birth of their baby as a secret any longer and sprang the news via a spokesperson on February 13, just in time for Valentine’s Day on Thursday February 14.
The sex or exact date of birth has not been divulged yet. Though US Magazine reports that the source said that the couple are “thrilled” and “worked hard to have the baby.”
Steve married Anne Stringfield, a writer, back in July of 2007 after dating for three years. The couple reportedly exchanged vows at Martin’s home in Los Angeles, with Nebraska senator Bob Kerrey presiding over the wedding ceremony, as Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels stood in as Best Man.
Wedding guests included Diane Keaton and Tom Hanks who were invited but did not know the couple were actually getting married! They thought that they were just attending a party thrown by the couple, says the Daily Mail.
