On August 9, in the heart of Atlanta, the Neighborhood Awards spared no expense with R&B diva Chrisette Michele, the songbird India Arie, Anthony Hamilton singing “Trying To Be Good," while Johnny Gill and Keith Sweat swayed the ladies. Later on, Tamela Mann had the arena on their feet leading everybody to our King; as Vegas' very own singer-songwriter NeYo (lives in Atlanta) sent all of us home.

Many were awarded for "Best Barber Shop, Best High School, Best Church and so on and so on with never ending categories. Nevertheless, celebrity presenters like David Mann clowned comedian Lavall Crawford because Crawford cracked on Kirk Franklin's fashion statement. Soon after, Sheryl Underwood proposed to Shemar Moore asking for his hand in marriage! All the celebrities eventually participated in the wild 'n' out dissin'.
