The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) announced that Steve Harvey will host the 44th NAACP Image Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA on Friday February 1, 2013. Steve Harvey is a true Renaissance Man holding the titles Comedian, Author, Radio and Talk Show Host. Steve Harvey was named 2013 People's Choice Award winner for "Favorite New Talk Show Host."
Presenters at the 44th NAACP Image Awards include "Django Unchained" stars Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as Queen Latifah, Wanda Sykes, and Tony Goldwin. The NAACP Image Awards honors the achievements of people of color in such areas as television, music, literature, and film.
"Django Unchained," "Flight," "Red Tails," "Tyler Perry's Good Deeds," and "Beasts of the Southern Wild" are nominees for Best Motion Picture. The NAACP Image Awards airs on NBC on Friday, February 1, 2013.
