Steve Harvey has had a successful career as a comedian and he is now turned his success into be a talk show host. Harvey, the host of “The Steve Harvey Morning Show,” recently got a surprise on his show from an old friend according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer on Jan. 23.
During the taping of his show last week, Harvey took a satellite call from someone who wanted to wish him a happy 56th birthday. When the person appeared on the screen, Harvey immediately recognized him and started to choke up.
So, who was the person who touched Harvey so deeply? Harvey went on to explain that this man was Rich Liss. He played an important part in Harvey’s life.
Liss helped him start his career when he didn’t have anything. When Harvey was 26, Liss owned a furniture store in Cleveland and they took him in and gave him his first contract for his carpet cleaning company.
When Harvey was 27 he became a comedian and Liss gave him an account at their travel agency. Harvey went on to tell Liss that he had been looking for him for years.
Rich Liss bailed Steve Harvey out when he needed help the most and Harvey went on to say he never forgot that. What a great birthday present!
