GT Spirit reported earlier today (Aug. 25,2013) that comedian, sitcom star and movie actor Steve Carrell was spotted yesterday cruising around on the streets of Los Angeles in his Porsche 911 Turbo S. Many people wouldn't take Steve Carrell as being the type of guy to enjoy such a high performance car, but the Porsche 911 Turbo S suits his personality quite well.
First of all, it’s understated and subtle good looks keep most people not in the know, to mistake the 911 Turbo S as just another Porsche. The few subtle cosmetic changes differentiate this Porsche from other’s. For one, a keen eye will be able to spot the 19 inch diameter rims with just one center locking nut. In addition, a peek into the interior will reveal a standard seven speed PDK dual clutch transmission complementing the sweetheart of an engine.
Powering Carrell’s choice of transportation is a twin-turbo flat six pushing out an astonishing 530 HP and 516 lbs-ft of torque, enough to propel this German rocket up to 60 in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 196 miles per hour.
Fans of the hit show, “The Office” will remember a bit where Michael Scott (played by Steve Carrell) writes and acts in his own in show movie called “Threat-Level Midnight” where he plays a James Bond-esque character named Agent Michael Scarn. Perhaps this Porsche 911 Turbo S would’ve been his getaway vehicle given he needed to make a quick escape.
