“The Young & the Restless” star Steve Burton shared some big news with his fans Wednesday. The former “General Hospital” and current “Y&R” star is expecting a baby girl with his wife. He broke the news via Instagram on Feb. 19.

Burton posted a graphic that is pink and says “Baby Girl on Board,” then shared the photo via his Twitter and Facebook pages as well. Fans were quick to pounce and congraulate him on the exciting news. Steve and his wife Sheree have been married since 1999 and already have two children, Makena Grace and Jack Marshall. Burton didn't detail how far along Sheree is in her pregnancy, but fans are embracing the simple news of a baby girl being on the way regardless.

Steve Burton also recently let fans know that he signed a new contract with “The Young & the Restless,” so expect the character of Dylan to remain in the mix of things in Genoa City for some time to come. While there have been hints that “General Hospital” is aiming to bring back Burton's former character of Jason Morgan, if they do the character will obviously be recast.

Congratulations to Steve Burton and his wife Sheree on their exciting news! “The Young & the Restless” airs weekdays on CBS.
