Steve Aoki announces a new album release and a MSG headlining debut

On April 22, International DJ and producer Steve Aoki announced the debut of his upcoming new album “Neon Future I,” which is set to be released this coming August 12. The album, “Neon Future I,” will be one half of a two-part release that will feature collaborations with: Fall Out Boy, Empire of the Sun,, Flux Pavilion, Bonnie McKee, and Machine Gun Kelly. Fans can expect the album’s second part, “Neon Future II,” to hit stores in early 2015 on Dim Mak/Ultra Music.

In response to his upcoming album Steve Aoki stated in a press release, “When I think of the dance world, I think of how it’s a colorful world. That, along with my fascination with futurism defined the concept of my new album, Neon Future. I see the future in a more of a utopian sense, built through technology, music and color. These concepts became the driving force for the creation of my first double album.”

The album’s first single, “Rage The Night Away” featuring Waka Flocka Flame, #1 Hype Machine track has already garnered over 700,000 soundcloud plays since its original posting April 15 , half a million of those being in the first three days it went viral. Available now, fans can purchase the single on iTunes and Beatport track is available now on Beatport and can also, be streamed at Aoki's Soundcloud page at the following link.

To celebrate his upcoming album release, the artist also announced a special headlining concert this summer at Madison Square Garden on August 16. This will mark a monumental first for the performer and will feature some of his finest production elements, numerous special guests, and of course, plenty of rafts and cake to keep fans on their toes.

Aoki, who performed nearly 300 live shows to one million fans last year, will also be making select U.S. appearances leading up to his Garden headlining debut which will include: Mysteryland in upstate New York over Memorial Day Weekend, Spring Awakening in Chicago mid-June, and some residency performances at Hakkasan in Las Vegas all summer. His Madison Square Garden performance will be the culminating event fans will not want to miss. Tickets will go on sale May 9 at 12:00 pm ET at
