Stern to replace Fallon? That's the latest rumor going around the internet today. On March 5, the New York Post reported that Howard Stern might take Fallon's spot to complete the new NBC lineup in 2014. NBC has declined to comment but according to the report, Stern is "seriously" being considered.
As previously reported, Jay Leno will reportedly be retiring after this season and Jimmy Fallon will be taking his spot as the "Tonight Show" host. Many believe that Stern's television gig on "America's Got Talent" has basically primed him for television -- no swearing, no overly dirty material etc..
If Stern agrees to replace Fallon, NBC will definitely have an interesting lineup to say the least. Both Jimmy Fallon and Howard Stern appeal to a certain type of people and NBC could find their ratings going up... or going down. It's difficult to predict how many people will actually tune in to NBC once Jay Leno is gone.
With Jimmy Kimmel dominating ABC at his new time of 11:35 p.m., many wonder if NBC's shakeup will turn people off of Kimmel or push people towards flipping the channel. Would you watch Kimmel or Fallon? Do you watch Jay Leno, David Letterman, or Jimmy Kimmel now?
If Stern is chosen to replace Fallon, will you watch?
